The Chairman Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Niger state Chapter, Reverend Matthias Echioda stated this during the finale prayer of the CAN Universal Prayer Week, 2019.

Reverend Echioda in his address called on Christians across Niger state to pray intensely for peace, economic and political stability in Niger state.

He mentioned that a lot of Christians complain a lot about bad governance, but are unwilling to use their vote powers, noting that some Christians do not even possess a Permanent Voters Card, PVC.

The clergy then called on all Christians to collect their PVCs and come out in large numbers to exercise their franchise in the forthcoming elections.

Prominent among politicians who were present in the CAN prayer week finale was, Hon. Joshua Bawa, the Niger state Gubernatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.

Hon. Bawa who was in attendance with his lovely wife expressed his delight of the prayer session and the support he has received so far from Nigerlites.

He thanked Nigerlites especially the Christian community for their immense support since the start of his Gubernatorial race.

The Politician, therefore, urged Nigerlites to collect their PVCs and vote wisely in the forthcoming elections, while warning them against vote selling which he described as an obstacle to development.
