Sweetboi Nexy is back with a brand-new EP, Different Patterns, a project that perfectly encapsulates his musical evolution and vision. After taking a break from music, Jonah Jondi, aka Sweetboi Nexy, made his remarkable comeback in 2022 with the hit single Zero Stress. Now, with Different Patterns, released in 2024, he takes his artistry to a whole new level.

Born and raised in Bauchi, Sweetboi Nexy started his journey in the music world in 2017, initially as a rapper, only to pause that chapter shortly after. However, his passion reignited in 2022, and since then, he has been on a steady rise.

The Different Patterns EP, as the name suggests, is a blend of diverse sounds and themes. Nexy wanted to create something truly distinctive, a project that stands apart from the crowd. “I feel like there are a lot of people doing things, and I wanted to do mine differently,” Nexy explains. “That’s why I named this EP Different Patterns – it’s all about love, sex, life, and hustle.”

Listeners will find a variety of styles as they journey through the tracks, from reflective moments to energetic beats that celebrate life and its struggles. With standout tracks like Tonight, Wild, ThankGod, and collaborations with artists such as Boy Moon, Billygr33n, SauceBwoi and Jkaps, the EP explores multiple facets of Nexy’s creativity.

Nexy credits his producers and featured artists for bringing his vision to life, saying, “Everyone delivered, and I also have to shout out Emmy Designz, who created the magic on the cover art. I just gave him the name of the EP, and he did the rest.”
